Dodge History
Dodge, formally the Dodge Division of Chrysler Group LLC is a brand of automobiles, minivans, and sport utility vehicles manufactured by Chrysler Group LLC, based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Dodge vehicles presently include the lower-priced badge variants of Chrysler-badged vehicles as well as performance cars, though for much of its existence Dodge was Chrysler's mid-priced brand above Plymouth.
Founded as the Dodge Brothers Company by brothers Horace Elgin Dodge and John Francis Dodge in 1900, Dodge was originally a supplier of parts and assemblies for Detroit based automakers and began building complete automobiles in 1915, predating the founding of Chrysler Corporation. The Dodge brothers died suddenly in 1920 and the company was sold to Dillon, Read & Co. in 1925 before being sold to Chrysler in 1928.
Dodge vehicles mainly consisted of trucks and full sized passenger cars through the 1970s, though it did make some inroads into the compact car market during this time. The 1973 oil crisis and its subsequent impact on the American automobile industry led Chrysler to develop the K platform of compact to midsize cars for the 1981 model year. The K platform and its derivatives are credited with reviving Chrysler's business in the 1980s; one such derivative became the Dodge Caravan. The Dodge brand has withstood the multiple ownership changes at Chrysler from 1998–2009, including its short-lived merger with Daimler-Benz AG from 1998- 2007, its subsequent sale to Cerberus Capital Management, its 2009 bailout by the United States government, and its subsequent Chapter 11 bankruptcy and acquisition by Fiat.
In 2011, Dodge, Ram, and Dodge's Viper were separated. Dodge said that the Dodge Viper will now be a SRT product and Ram will be a manufacturer.

TREMEC - Transmission Technologies Corporation is an American manufacturer of automobile transmissions, best known for their TREMEC line of manual transmissions
History of TREMEC
The manual transmission line of Borg Warner is now owned (since 1998) by Transmission Technologies Corporation (TTC), however, the design remains unchanged between the two transmission lines. Borg Warner transmissions, for the most part, use a single rail gear selector and carbon fiber lined steel synchro rings, where the TREMEC transmissions have a single rail that selects and moves three shift rods internally.
These three rods have spring loaded detents that make the transmission feel notchy during shifting. Instead of carbon lined steel synchro rings, the TREMEC TKO line is built with solid bronze synchros with no linings. It is for these reasons that theTREMEC TKO does not like to shift well above ~6,000rpms unless modified. Carbon fiber rings are now available as well as several other modifications to improve shifting and durability.

In many cases, converting to a TREMEC TKO or T-56 Magnum will also warrant minor driveline modifications, such as upgrading to our 31-spline aftermarket slip yoke. Built to OEM standards, they accept 1330-style U-Joints and are designed to handle the torque from one of our powerful 5 or 6-speed manual transmissions.
- Short Input Shaft Kits
TREMEC's Short Input Shaft Kits are a must when installing a REMEC TKO behind Ford FE-series engines. Kits include appropriate bearing retainer and new front seal. Available in 10 and 26-splines.

For 2003-2004 Ford Mustang Cobras with factory T-56 transmissions. Converts factory 10-spline input shaft to 26-spline unit for greatly enhanced strength.
Important upgrade when making a lot of horsepower and using aggressive clutches in high performance applications. The Tremec Performance 26-spline input shaft will give you that peace of mind when you drop the hammer at the drag strip, or on the street.
- Magnum Overdrive Gears
Use these gears to change the overdrive ratios in any Magnum 6 speed transmission. Gears must be purchased in pairs. Professional installation is strongly recommended

General Motors said the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will get 29 m.p.g. on the highway and 17 m.p.g. in the city. The numbers are for the coupe version of the redesigned sports car when it's paired with a seven speed TREMEC TR 6070 manual transmission. The performance compares with 26 m.p.g. on the highway and 16 m.p.g in the city for the 2013 'Vette. A key competitor, the Porsche 911 Carrera S, gets 27 m.p.g. on the highway and 19 m.p.g. in the city.
GM engineers integrated several new fuel-saving technologies into the seventh generation Corvette to get better fuel economy. For example, the Corvette's eight cylinder engine can flip into four cylinder mode when the extra power isn't necessary. That helps save gasoline.
"The Corvette Stingray establishes the benchmark for modern performance cars by using
technologies to deliver more performance and more miles per gallon," Corvette executive
chief engineer Tadge Juechter said in a statement. "We expect more and more performance
cars will follow Corvette's example."
The coupel version of the Stingray, first revealed in January in Detroit, will be released in the fall. The convertible version will hit showrooms toward the end of the year.
